Can you do it?

The Rubik's Cube is one of my primary games to fight against boredom. This one is pretty Hi-Poly and made in Maya 2008.
I've randomized the positions of the faces and single cubes a bit to add more realism, so I hope you like it that way.

The scene was rendered with FryRender in 7 hours. Some remaining noise and some color correction has been done in Photoshop. No further post processing.

I've chosen this title because many people mess around with this cube, but aren't able to solve it
My record is 2m 25s. Beat it

Das Amt revised

This is an improved version of my empty bureau floor.
At first I wanted to update the existing version, but I had many improvements to the previous version.
I've turned the camera angle back to zero, removed all grain, did the DoF completely in post, and had to deal with a hard-to-solve problem. I've also done many color improvements.
Used higher shading samples for many things, and so on.

All in all it's a pretty different version.

Post work has completely been done in Digital Fusion.

Das Amt

At first this was intended to be a dark scene. A kind of a "destructed" bureau hall. But I don't like dark scenes, so it became a quite sunny one.
The first objects were done quite some time ago. I spent only a little bit of time per day with it. So I can't really say the total modelling time.

I've added some glow and grain afterwards. The grain is pretty visible because I don't like renders that are perfectly smooth.
I hope you'll like it anyways

Last Shot

I've modelled many years ago a robot, however it was incomplete. And it looked really ugly.

So I had the idea to get a nice view of it anyways. But without changing the mesh/geometry.
The only thing I did: Changed the environment, textures, shaders and some photoshop afterwork.

Earlier Einbeck

The inspiration came from the earlier city of Einbeck, Germany.
The image was drawn on A4 paper using a pencil, rubber and my fingers.

Bubbel

Well I smoke a lot, so why don't create an image of my own brand.
I wasn't sure about the name until my girlfriend suggested her irc name.
So now this box is called Bubbel and this image is dedicated to her.
The background HDRI is one of the free debevec.org probes.
The textures of the box are made with Photoshop and post editing was done with The Gimp.
I'm accepting all typ of critique, escpecially how close this image compares to a real photograph.
